A static site with an interactive desktop
How this portfolio combines ordinary pages with a desktop that runs in the browser.
This portfolio has two kinds of reading experience: a desktop with windows and a terminal, and ordinary pages for projects and notes. Both are built from the same content.
Keep interaction where it belongs
Astro builds the pages as static HTML. The desktop is a React island loaded in the browser because moving windows, switching themes, and running terminal commands all need client-side state. A note page can be read without loading that desktop.
Let content travel between views
Project details, current work, and notes live in small content modules. The desktop and standalone pages render the same entries. That keeps a shared link and a window from drifting into two different versions of the same information.
